Winchmore Hill to Whitewebbs? In a TVR? Without breaking down? Are you serious?

Maybe you should set up a base camp on my drive in Southgate and make a concerted push for Whitewebbs the next evening? wink

Pah! Until I secure a garage locally I'd have to bring the car over from Chelmsford. biggrin

I was out around Whitewebbs/Forty Hill on my bike last night. Finally located the motor museum - you were right it is pretty difficult to miss, but google earth pin-pointed it as being the house just up from the King & Tinker, so I got a little confused!

Went past the Pied Bull too - that looks like another possible candidate?

If nothing else, the pagaent of motoring is next month!

Let's hope the rain holds off and the show is not held in a quagmire this year frown Flippin' global warming.

Could do...

Would have to come in the daily hack unless anyone has a garage they'd care to lend me though. I can't be arsed to drive back to Chelmsford to dump the car, when I live a few miles away.

I probably can't make it. Having the Alfa engine in the Stratos remapped in Basildon on Thursday. Dunno when I'll be done. frown

So Chris, it's you, alone, in your daily driver.

Hmmm, might abort the pub then, but I think I'm long overdue a visit to the B158.

I nearly went for an explore on Friday evening (again in the Citroen), before realising I had half a ton of random stuff in the back (I'm moving bit-by-bit over from Chelmsford!) and a decent twisty road would be a bit like putting it through a blender.

Ok... finally went out and explored last night. So, I guess you could say it was PH's first hoon in the area!

Already ranted about it in more detail here, http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0... , but the gist was that the B158 was good fun, but the real fun lies beyond. There are some really incredible roads further out.

Good report there Chris, thanks. I must join you for a hoon soon, maybe once you have settled into your new home.....

.....now, if we start arranging it this afternoon, we should get it on sometime in 2010. smile

edited to add: I'm being ridiculously optimistic here of course!

Well, how about we set a time and a place...

Wednesday 28th May at The King & Tinker on Whitewebbs Lane? smile

Still no luck on the house front, but I've decided I have to get my priorities right and I'm going to find a lock-up to rent!

Ah. Based on previous form of this thread I wasn't really expecting that. biggrin

Guess I'll have to get scribbling in the diary!

Planning to move the car over after the next PH Essex meet on the 15th.

BTW Does anyone on here have an American muscle car - a Dodge Charger or something? I was at 'said pub on Saturday and one rumbled past twice.

There is a chap who occasionally partakes of a libation at the K&T who likes/repairs/restores vintage Mustangs. Could be him I suppose. Good bloke who knows the PH website. Could even be a member of PH.
