Thank goodness for that. I shall enter it into my 2009 social diary without delay. Simply, the highlight of the season, my dear.

At least MACC should be ready by then.

sorry, since writing my previous comment the event has been delayed until 2010 (and will now cost tax payers an additional £2bn).

A typically English event then. Very late, very expensive and only for those located within the magic circle.

I say: more Pimms anyone?

Part built Heritage C type.

Full spec: 53 lightweight replica, 4.2, triple 45DC Webers, road/race tune, appx: 290bhp per tonne, full aluminium racing interior, harnesses etc.

We will show her at the Revival this year with roundels painted number 18 and replica 1950's trade plates 210RW. My idea, as I am curious to find out the number of people who will recognise and understand the play on the 1953 Le Mans double number 18 car cock up.

Fancy a pint at Freddie’s gaff at the Revival if you are attending? 2010 seems an awfully long time to wait.

hardly any of what you wrote makes sense to me - which probably is as sad for you as me! I am clearly a petrolhead of the 00's. As much as I adore older aircraft such as the Spitfire I've never taken enough time looking at older cars - though when I lived in Hampshire the Motor Museum at Beaulieu was a great place to visit.

Just googled a heritage c type though .... beautiful. Are you local to Enfield?

Never done Goodwood before but it is on my list of events to do this year. A beer there sounds a fab idea. You can educate me more then!

Sounds good to me. See you there. Once I have details of our stand I will send you an email.

Happy motoring until then.

I'm in Camden but I'd be interested in venturing into the countryside (everything past Holloway is the countryside to me) for a drink.
at 69bhp I would hope to have the least powerful car there.

I'm still here. And still up for something local. I beat 69bhp, but only just. And my wheels are currently a Toyota. This is going to be the least exotic car meet in history smile

Count me in as I keep my car up in Finchley.

I've always wondered why Sunday lunchtime's are not more popular for car meets.

Surely the wife and kids will let you out for a couple of hoursbiggrin

By my reckoning...that's six people! This idea could just get off the ground. Now, we need a location and a date......any ideas?
