I'm in Camden but I'd be interested in venturing into the countryside (everything past Holloway is the countryside to me) for a drink.
at 69bhp I would hope to have the least powerful car there.
Not if I come along....at 69bhp I would hope to have the least powerful car there.
(In my current situation I would probably walk to save embarassment)#
Anyway.... hello

Moving to Enfield at some point over the coming months. Having been a kit car owner most of my motoring-life I've now decided to go for a nice, sensible, reliable production car, so I'm on the look out for a TVR.
Must say that C-Type replica is superb.

Excuse the smiley over-use. I'll get me coat...
Earlier in the thread 'The King and Tinker' pub was mentioned as a possible meeting point. I happened to drive past it today and it looks pretty good. As was said above, the car park is a fair size, there's a big play area for kids loads of tables @ the beer gandeny bit and it looks a well kept place.
It's near Whitewebbs between the Great Cambridge and Crews Hill.

Edited to add: hand held digital camera with video so the quality is not that good. Will repeat runs with bullet camera and proper mike soon.

Very nice. My dad's had a Healey Silverstone since I was a kid (as raced at LeMans in 1949 and '50) and I've always liked cars of that era. Little bit out of my price range currently so I'm hoping to replace my (recently sold) Sylva Leader with a TVR in the next month or so.
The pub in Hilly Fields sounds like a plan - there are a number of them around there and due to the location they all have decent car parks I think.

Still not strictly living in Enfield (the flat hunting continues), but atleast I have something respectable to bring along now - the TVR search is complete. ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

Couldn't actually find my flickr account, so these aren't the best shots, but you get the idea...

Yep. Having a look at the first house in Enfield on Thursday and it has a garage - a fairly decent one apparently, so I might find the TVR a new home in the process! Does seem a bit of a shame to keep a sportscar somewhere with that traffic density, but doesn't seem to stop people - I saw a gorgeous V8 Vantage whilst I was out on my bike yesterday and about 30 seconds later a Maserati Granturismo went past too. ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

i'm a PH n00b too but i've lived in and around Enfield for 15 years now currently in Bush Hill Park (g/f's) and The Ridgeway (mum's). The King & Tinker is owned my mate's Dad who also owns the Hop Poles round the corner that his daughter runs.Really nice guy and i'm sure he wouldnt mind his car park full of shiny cars making his business look good.If this does ever get up and running, me and a few mates are always interested in wasting some petrol. My 1.8 beemer wont keep up with most of you but should be with a SLK 350 and a blue corsa VXR for a bit of diversity.
P.S Does the entire TVR owners club live in Enfield?!?

I'm the only PH TVR owner I'm actually aware of in Enfield, although I'm sure there are a few others lurking somewhere. That said, I technically still live in Chelmsford and it's likely my car will remain there for a good few months until we've found a place with a garage in Enfield.
Care to share any local knowledge... where's nice to live around Enfield Town/Chase?

Time is of course totally relevant to each individual. Three years of conveyor belt theorising may only be three years for some, but to others it is like an eternity
