There are fast car owning hoodlums of all ages present - one or two may have beards.

I do hope that you're not inferring anything there Doug.

I am not for a second suggesting that you have a beard.

I'm going to shave tonight. biggrin

I wouldn't worry about it Janesy - Pistonheads meets seem to be refreshingly un-cliquey. I'm 26, a couple of the other regulars are in their twenties I'd say, and there's a mix above that. All depends who turns up, we've had between 5 and 55 attendees in the past so it's luck of the draw really.

Any space for a 206GTi? Live just down the road and would like to make a PH meet.

Of course there's space! There's always space for another petrolhead.

The more the merrier Chichee. Welcome to PH.

BTW Took the new toy out the other night and I think I saw at least two familiar automobiles... a red Hyundai Coupe coming down The Ridgeway and a very sonorous TVR S3 going past Potters Bar vet college.

Excellent Gary. I look forward to seeing you. We're by 'Bridge'

Qualifying day today. Somehow, although some incredibly angry clouds milled around the circuit all day, we got away with just a couple of light showers. The really heavy stuff came after quali has ended.

Stratos won't be there next week. The engine made a horrendous grinding noise on my way back from Silverstone to my hotel in Northampton late last night. I turned off and shut it down immediately but it looks like bare metal on bare metal 'grindage'.

Some of the Stratos Club guys towed me the rest of the way & this morning me and the car headed home on an AA flatbed.

Oh well.

Doh! That's bad news Blib. frown

On a slightly brighter note...

Are we planning a bit of a drive afterwards?

If so, depending on where we go, is there any chance I can blag a ride with somebody? I'll bring the Seven down for the meet, but its setup is dangerously stiff for B-roads at the moment. If we're venturing into unknown territory I might have to defer to something that can keep at least three wheels on the ground at any one time.

...that or I could sweep at a leisurely rate.

Did I see you at the mini roundabout near the Green Dragon, St Albans Road, you headed back into Barnet I think?

Distinct possibility. I've only had one chance to go out for a proper blast since I've had the car, but done quite a few short trip across to Barnet now they've resurfaced Galley Lane!
