Two things strike me about Il Bordello - the pizza-plus-place - on Wapping High St. Why is it ALWAYS rammed? And why are there always so many top rides parked around there? I've walked/driven past loads of times and there's never a free table. I mean it's not like it's Ramsay's place at Claridges or anything - it's your basic over-boiled Italo-grub served on a big plate. And the punters are clearly a monied & discerning lot judging by the metal on the kerb. Apart from the owner's DB7 and the black 599, and not counting the resident TVRs, 911s and Boxters, I've seen a DeLorean, new Phantom (three spaces), Enzo, Murci (not Tony's) and a Spyker. Maybe he's knocking out recreational pharmaceuticals along with his quatro formagi? Anyone shed any light on this phenomenon?

But have you actually eaten there? You point out an Italian restaurant that's anywhere near as good in the area and I'll give it a go....
'spose it's no good mentioning Pizza Express at this point Phil tumbleweed ? But seriously - anyone tried either La Figa in Narrow Street or the newish Italian place at the St Catherine's end of the High Street? It looks nice - but even on a Friday it's only two corpse's short of a morgue in there.

Does the black 599 belong to the owner? If so, can you ask him to reduce the price of his pizzas?
