North London Summer Meeting - 2nd August 2009
Discussion
At the Plough, Crews Hill, Enfield, although this may be subject to change.

Gizmo has suggested that we could hold the next meeting at the Harvester a mile or two away 'The Navigation Inn'

Pub reviews not that great though.
Time: 15.00/ 16.00 Suggest the 2nd of August, as the 26th of July is the date of the Hungarian GP / Silverstone Classic.
What about a barbecue if the weather is good? Thoughts anybody?

ha! looks so out of place in that list!
Nah, not at all - cracking little car the VRS. On a related note, a mate of mine is coming along in something not dissimilar, so that I'll stick down on the list too. 1. Freddie - Heritage Jaguar C Type
2. Andy - Blue / Yellow Westfield
3. Chris - Caterham RSA
4. Blib - Hawk Stratos
5. dougc - TVR S3
5. Simon - Tuscan S
6. Matthew - Skoda Fabia
7. Ian - Fiat Panda 100HP
BTW Mr Von Rost - I need to give you a shout at some point. Do you know anyone who's good with stressed aluminium bodywork? Have rather an interesting project concerning a 1950s sports racer.

I can't make first week in September either. I'm down on the coast. Plus, I think that it's a bit too soon......
......plus, I'd like to be there next time because I saw a lot of admiring glances in the direction of my Civic EX as I 'sped' away from the venue last weekend. I'd like to give the guys an opportunity to have a look at the 1.8 that lurks under the bonnet.

Still riddled with flu, sorry I was unable to join you all. Did anybody take any pictures?
Question: next meet? First week September, whilst there is still the chance of half decent weather?
Can I suggest the weekend after? I'm away on the 5th.Question: next meet? First week September, whilst there is still the chance of half decent weather?
BTW Freddie, sorry I still haven't got round to calling you about the aluminium, been distracted by other matters sadly.
Second week September it is. 13th Of September at the Plough, unless we can find a better venue. Better make it 14.00 for 14.30 as sunset will be at 19.19 hours.
I will put up the new thread both here and on the other side of the street.

Right, let's take the iniative!
Let's say we'll provisionally go for the new venue. Might be worth casting an eye over it at 2pm this Sunday. Time wise, shall we say 2 for 2:30 again? Should be light until, what, at least 8pm, so gives us a little time to go for a drive after. Closer to the right area too - now I'm bouncing along in the Caterham I fully understand people's objections to Coopers Lane Road!
Cool. I will put a new thread up here and on ... the other site.Let's say we'll provisionally go for the new venue. Might be worth casting an eye over it at 2pm this Sunday. I don't see the point on posting over there Freddie. Giz is the only one with links to there and he's on here
