Under Cover Traffic Police in the North East
Discussion
Just a heads up for anyone in the Durham area. There was a Honda 4x4 yesterday with hidden blue repeaters heading into the Honda garage near me, I think the bloke taking it in had knocked them on accidentally. It was dark blue and so dull I had to look on Honda's website to identify it as a CRV.
It was waiting there again this morning (service done?) and a squad car heading in to pick it up.
Jeez unmarked beemers or Volvos you expect, but this is sneaky!

There's at least 2 unmarked bog standard Foci without obvious repeaters trundling around 'Boro. The other day I was out on an evening enjoying a sup or two of ale, and noticed a chap on his bike who was obviously the worse for wear. He rode his bike into slow moving traffic and stopped in front of a mini, shouting at the driver and generally being a monumental cock.
So happened that the car in front was one of these Foci, and after advancing another 50 metres or so, the Officers inside noticed this twunt behind, jammed the car into reverse and confronted the chap. However, instead of administering a proper beating, as appropriate, they simply moved the chap on. Irritating, but I suppose you can't do much more in this day and age.

Am pretty sure you can get done for riding a bicycle on the road drunk. So happened that the car in front was one of these Foci, and after advancing another 50 metres or so, the Officers inside noticed this twunt behind, jammed the car into reverse and confronted the chap. Dammit with the acronyms......english man english!!!! lol
ARV = Armed Response VehicleTPAC = something where they can physically knock you off the road lol
I am assuming on each occasion I have seen a TPAC exercise since they form around the bandit car and then stop it just before the ponteland turn off on the 69. I assume they then head back to force headquarters for a de-brief.

Tell you what, after a few trips up and down the a68 north of newcaslte i have come to the conclusion coppers love to train there high speed drivers on it...... followed a Black 5 series about 15miles 5 of which i was infront, some decent speeds too, after a while i got a bit unnearved as i was not familiar and it was a tad sticky so i eased off. about 40 minutes later two marked cars where parked top to tale talking to each other in a farm entrance and the next to them two black 5 series parked next to each other and at least 6 white shirted police men in a huddle....... God must have had something to do with me not getting arrested :S

I see them on the Sedgefield to Darlington back road all the time, its apparently their fast training route... although they don't seem to go that fast
Excellent road too, also the road between Stillington and Newton Aycliffe I lived near Stillington for a couple of years, and my (then) 390SE liked it very much.
...Did get pulled for doing over 90 on the Darlington ringroad, but the cops just wanted to talk about the car.
