Well that's me off the road

Drivers side rear wheel loose as a dangly thing. Tried to fix it last night, thanks to froggie for his help with this, but nothing doing. The bearing won't pull up or pull apart.

Richard, HHC, has organised for his low loader to come and take her away.

Looks like I'll be in the Mini for the Harewood Hillclimb.

Yep, sensed something but I thought it was just me being over sensitive to the car. The wheel had about 1mm slogger so it will have been randomly changing camber.

I've just had to SORN mine because the MOT and tax were both due end May. After 14 days of not declaring it there's an automatic £80 fine. I'm getting 6 months tax this time so that I can split these apart.

Just watched it disappear on the back of a low loader. Hopefully HHC will have it sorted soon.

Hi folks, twas the input shaft. A fault that had been on the car from new. I had thought that it would be something like this because the same fault had occurred a couple of years ago. The splines were under-cut so the hub was binding on it as the hub was being torqued up. It was reaching torque before the bearings were fully seated. Nice and tight when it's put together but over time the outer race was working its way further onto the input shaft causing the hub and shaft to slogger in the hub carrier.

New input shaft fitted, all's well.

Next event for me will be the NE Slalom day then Shaftos.
