.....Hi everyone. The organisers have asked, if you read their letter, not to be there too early....meaning before 10am. It is better for them if you arrive a little later then earlier.
I will be leaving Evesham at 9.am and taking the Tewkesbury...
M5 Southbound...route.

Bearing the comments about not arriving before 10:00 what are the participants thoughts regarding an 08:30 RV at Strensham departing at 08:45ish?

I guess we need to know who is meeting where so:
  • Strensham 08:45 depart
100SRV - Bowler Tomcat
Redscouse - Audi TTRS
?
Blue with Orange stripes Lotus Elise. Cheers FFF.

Any others?

  • Air Balloon 09:15 RV for 09:30 departure
Mylo (sprint blue S3)
BlueG33 we could RV near the Air Balloon if that suits?

RMW50 - the Stuart Taylor Motorsport - Strensham I guess? Would it be helpful for me to bring/carry a fuel container for you just in case?

Thank you light n hairy, I like the route:
I suggest you go down the A46 through Nailsworth, joining the M4 . Makes for a far more interesting route than the M5. Then join the M4 westbound, then M5 south, then off at J19 like the directions say?

The problem is where to park up near the Air Balloon, at the Air balloon makes sense for parking/waiting. I am pretty flexible TBH, just tell me where and when smile

The Birdlip View point car park and well known dogging spot?

Fine by me, at that time in the morning the nefarious activities should have ended

Hello FFF,

I am in Solihull, and plan to leave around 6.30 to 6.45 to get the Strensham for 7.30, depending on which part of Coventry you are at do you want to meet up and head to the M5 together? Maybe meet at the NEC or Solihull junctions of the M42, let me know what you think?

I will be in grey Stuart Taylor Motorsport, "7" type car.

Rich
Hi Rich, meeting up would be great. I live near Meriden way so we could meet in the car park at the National motorcycle museum if you like (easier to find someone than the NEC carpark). Looks like the meeting time is moving back an hour so RV at 7.30am ish by the looks of things. Let me know if this suits and as I have no passengers could carry a petrol can or two aswell if you like!

FFF,

That is great, I am only five minutes away from the motorcycle museum, so 7.30 it is, then get to Stensham for 8.30ish and leave there with the others around 8.45, pick up the rest on the way - sounds like a plan to me.

Thanks to you and 100SRV for the offers of petrol cans, I should be OK as I always carry a gallon with me, so if I fill up at the services that should get me there, with my can just in case...

So the list is so far:

NEC meet-
RMW50 Stuart Taylor Motorsport
FFF Lotus Elise

Strensham meet-
100SRV - Bowler Tomcat
Redscouse - Audi TTRS

Air Ballon car park-
Mylo (sprint blue S3)
BlueG33
Light n Hairy

Looks like a pretty varied convoy doesn't it!

Have I missed anyone?

UPDATE - WEATHER

Obviously we're keeping an eye on the changeable weather and, judging by all the forecasts we're seeing, at present it all looks good to go for Saturday's event. thumbup

It should be a great day out raising money for seriously ill children whilst looking at some wonderful cars. There's also some flippin' good raffle prizes to be won and the advanced driving talks to see.

Please check on the main thread tomorrow (Friday) for a final call on the weather when the forecasts will have settled down some more.

Here is an update of who is meeting and an idea of times:

FFF Lotus Elise

Strensham meet at 8.30am, leave at 8.45am -
100SRV - Bowler Tomcat
Frogman666 - Frogeyed Sprite (lightweight high-performance!)
Redscouse - Audi TTRS
BoostMonkey - Focus RS
HappyAde- Noble

Air Ballon car park meet at 9.15am, leave at 9.30am -
Mylo (sprint blue S3)
BlueG33 - TVR Tuscan
Light n Hairy
Hamish - Lotus Elise
countvonc - R35 GTR

If it is wet I hope that I am not behind the Bowler Tomcat, with no roof or windscreen I think that I would need a snorkel if I followed that!

Looking forward to it.

I don't mind going at the back and being the voiture balai or "broom wagon"... ;-)
