Not exactly unmarked ,but spotted hiding in someone's garden behind a bush /hedge in Bedworth ( Sutherland Ave ,for those local) , two large yellow apparitions with some sort of tripod on pavement .Before i got to them the white tops of the caps were seen . From the non enforced side ,they were obvious .But even in Hi Viz , from the other way ????
I would say 04 model last of the line disco 1, It had blue strobes allover the front there must have been about 6, and some in the back window.
I didn't get chance to take note of the reg he was in quite a hurry going up to kimberley past the 3 ponds pub. It just struck me as odd that there was a snorkel running up the side of the windscreen as well.

Spotted 2 today in nottingham didn't get reg plates but one was an old shape disco in silver with a snorkel on the side of the windscreen, the other was a 61 plate white insignia estate looked like boggo spec.
The Disco is a paramedic's personal car with blues fitted as he works on a specalised rescue team. He lives very close to Kimberley (and is a good mate of mine) which is why you'll have seen him around that neck of the woods. The Insignia is not a Notts car and wouldn't be bog standard spec if it was police (I wouldn't think, although I may be wrong). Insignia size vehicles are not used as general patrol pandas and all I have ever seen have been VXR's. I'm pretty sure Derby's don't use Insignia's either (the only one's I've ever seen at jobs were in South Yorks, driven by Tim Scothern off Traffic Cops or whatever it was no less!), although I may be wrong. My educated guess to that would be fire or paramedic again. It's 100% not Notts anyway.
The dark grey V70 which Polarbert mentions is a Notts car, there's a black and another grey one on '09 plates too.
They're not traffic cars as such, although obviously they do some traffic work, they belong to the Armed Response Unit.
You could throw a stone from Showcase to their base. They don't work from a publicly accessible 'station' but from an industrial unit not a few hundred metres from there (as near to the Boots factory as possible so they can stock up on hair gel and poncy sunglasses )
Could have been on it's way out anywhere forcewide.
