Watch your backs in Coventry.....

Just spotted a 'stealth' police car in Coventry - It's a black Honda 4-door hatchback (Accord I think) complete with boot spoiler, nice shiny alloys etc reg'n RN02 VSF.
Saw it twice on Friday (18/3/05) pulling over two seperate cars - both within the space of a hour.

Unmarked Mondeo still in operation in Coventry (saw it in action around Cov Ring Road last night (8/12/05)).

Not sure whether it was the Silver or Black one mentioned above....

Seems they've got more unmarked cars than marked these days. So much for 'visible policing'....

Along with the unmarked Silver and Black Mondeos mentioned above, I saw a blue unmarked Mondeo ST220 along the Holyhead Road today, reg ---- EOA. (I'll fill in the rest the next time I see it)

Yup, seen it too a few times. Seems to patrol the Holyhead road/Four Pounds Avenue quite a bit. Usually uniformed plod inside so relatively easy to spot (although with 'Ford-owned' Jaguar being based in Cov there plenty of Mondeo ST's around.....)

Be on the look out for a Volvo V70 T5 Estate. It's black and on a 55 plate. Seen locally in Leamington Spa and on the A46 towards Coventry.

Saw an unmarked Volvo Saloon today, S60 I think, light yellow-ish colour, on M40 (near Coventry turn off) pulling someone over. Reg'n ----OYH



Looking back through this thread, local plod seem to have a hell of a lot unmarked cars in this area (or perhaps they've found this thread and swap the car for something else as soon as we mention it!!)
