Supercar Saturday 31st october

Is anyone going to the supercar day at combe on this day?

I'm planning on going, And also wondering if anyone knows what cars there might be too expect

Hopefully will have full list today or tomorrow but the highlights apparently include 4 past Castle Combe champions driving - and a UK Land Speed record holder as Star Guest driver! And a Porsche GT on track - £650,000 worth, if we can get it through the noise tests.

Wow cool sounds like a even better day than last year! I'm bringing a friend and its their first time at combe so was just trying to give them an idea of what cars might be there. If you could share or pm me the list you get, would be amazing if you are allowed

A 360 failed the sound test last year but they still let it out but only allowed to do 3/4 revs lol

The 360 belongs to Si Tilling, who is actually the lap record holder in a 400bhp orange Radical that used to spend so much time on the grass they used tocall it the Flymo. Si's just retired from circuit racing but told me he'll be there again this year.
I have the same noise problem with my crossflow Caterham - 109db at 4000 revs! Deffo can't run that with the stock exhaust. Make sure you say hello when you're there!

The other half is coming with me this year and I've told her I'm paying for her to go out in a car

But she keeps saying she is scared lol

So I want to put her out with someone that would really give her a ride to remember and can make her scream lol because imy horrible like that. But of course I'll tell her this driver is a slow driver and will take it steady

Drift car's are out as I no she won't even get in one once she see's wot they do on track

Assuming you don't really want me to try to scare her, I will happily take her round at a pace that she's comfortable with. After all, the day is about the passengers, not us! And mine's only a standard road car so not silly quick.

We did Prescott revival and she came back slightly pale after her first ride up the hill .but soon got use to it

All she keeps saying to me tonight is I want to go out in something but I don't want to crash lol

I'd really rather not damage my little baby if at all possible, so avoiding crashing is quite high up my list of priorities!
Happy to take her round at her pace, & gradually ramp up each lap if she's happy.

was a great day!
ii saw you on track cartoony but i didnt have my camera with me this year as i was with my mate who hadnt been before so was just watching and nosing about. never did see you in the paddock area though

loved the porsche (after it cooked itself and they took that awful silencer of it)
feel sorry for the guy when it rots out from the foam they squirted in it though lol.

if the caterhams were in my price range i would buy one great handling cars and sound lovely .and the pops and bangs from the exhaust on over run is just soo good


now i need to get my TT on the road and out on track asap
