We always used to toy with the idea of a Tetbury run, Nice road there & back & may be a beer in the pub in Tormarton .. we could meet in the layby or the carpark by the dept of transport depot on the A46/M4 junction?

I drove past the Tormarton pub the other day - The Compass Inn. Plenty of parking.

Tetbury run sounds good to me although I will be too late for the drive I guess as I can't leave Bath until 8pm-ish.

Tetbury sounds like fun; it was ony the lack of a curry house that put the mockers on that last time it was suggested. Weather's supposed to be scorchio too - I assume the Compass has a beer garden?

Wouldn't be able to get to the RV until 7:45/8:00 probably, though.

Thats the one, not sure about a garden though, I used to meet up there with the MR2 drivers club many years ago... many years ago... often owners would turn up without their 18 year old £800 mk1 MR2 as they didnt want to put the miles on the clock

Bizarre behaviour! There's definitely outside space - the car park is surrounded by grass, but I'm not sure if it's got tables and suchlike

If we're doing a hoon, can I blag a passenger seat in something please, as the turdo-wiesel Audi isn't really up to the task.
Quite happy to get to an agreed meet point and purchase much soft drink for the driver etc!!

There'll be a spare passenger seat in the Caterham (assuming I put the new oil filter on tonight). Depends when the RV is...

I'm afraid chaps, that the TVR shall not be making an appearance - I've not had the finances come through in the right timeframe, and as a result I can't be messing Mike around anymore.

Additionally, the Golf won't be making an appearance either, seeing as a tosser drove up my arse on the roundabout this morning, pushing the boot and floor and inch forward, buggering the bumper and exhaust also.

It'll all be sorted, but I wouldn't want to be bringing a noisy Golf along - not quite the same as a TVR.

In hindsight, I'm very lucky, it could have been the TVR that got hit, and that would have really been something to cry about

Unless I'm mis-reading the post and it's actually a spare Caterham, in which case you're welcome to the passenger seat

I went that way to Fairford yesterday on my motorcycle. It didn't take long! Most memorable parts of the route: Nice "S" bend outside Badminton House where you could get properly sideays in the right tool and a friendly wave to some miserable looking Rozzers standing guard outside Prince Charles' back gate .

I may come along in the Diseasal barge or on the bike, depending on circumstances. It won't be the Land Rover though because the contents of the clutch master cylinder are currently residing in the drivers footwell.

Sorry to hear about the fun and games this morning Neil Good luck with the ins co...

If you can face an oil burner (that looks a bit less...erm...metrosexual! than the beetle) then I should have a spare seat going...

If we're going further afield (Tetbury?) I can swing past yours on the way if you like Neil?

Actually, its probably about time we decided on what we're doing!

As far as I can see, the options put forward so far are:

1. Pump House / Reg 'n' Barrys
2. Carpenters Arms run
3. Avon Gorge
4. Tetbury / Compass Inn run
5. Nordschlieffe run / Petrol station curry

At least 10p from every vote goes to the Neil_Cardiff appeal for poorly Golfs and/or TVR fund *

* Not. Probably.
