I think track Time was for

Martin
Paul
Graham
Giles

Graham prefered doing the track with us than TVRCC I beleive.
Keen to know if you need helmets, can take passengers etc

Oh poop......

There is a Mitsubishi Evo Owners (MLR) annual SPA trackday taking place on the Bank Hol Monday, day after we leave. If I had better planning I could of stayed afterwards and joined that too, but it sold out ages ago.
Double poop....

Thought I might invest in a Sat Nav for the trip, then can pass onto Will afterwards,so if I get left behind I can still find you lot. I seem to remember Martin and Paul, you had them for LMC, which one would you suggest.

Evening smile

You can get a TomTom Europe for about £100 ish now.

All you'll ever need mate. Tried most of the others and the TomToms are easily the best IMO.

Not long to go now biggrin

Thank you.

Still no blooming car, seems having problem finding the shorting issue, desperate for a drive, heading up into Wales in two weeks for weekend, fingers crossed.

Got your new motor yet

Ah that must be very frustrating! Fingers crossed they sort it pronto for you!

Decided against changing now.

Looked at a fantastic old 911 RS 'recreation' with original '73 RS engine in it.

But, it was just too underpowered really, despite being an incredible build. The money difference just made me think I'd be stupid to swap from my GT3.

Think I'm going to keep it long term now and spend money on Euro trips and track days instead biggrin

Good call, I found myself hunting classifieds just for fun this weekend, The 996 Twin Turbo is the only thing that I couldnt find fault with..... If only I'd sold my boat, instead the V8's valves decided to seize in the head over winter, which was nice.

Ah...bugger.... Bet you were delighted when that happened!

Expensive fix I'd imagine?

I wouldnt mind so much if I hadnt just spent a load on preventative maintanence, then winter storage, then a service on the leg. Craned her in to the water, turned the key and ........ Thump, as the piston hit the valve shortly followed by 4 of the teeth being broken off the flywheel.

I would estimate about 3k for a new head & valves plus removal of engine, new flywheel etc

Car maintenance is peanuts in comparison to boats !

Time to talk trip..........and no, not on chemicals or herbs

Has anyone found a better route from the port to Spa, instead of the motorway ?
Does anyone else have walkie talkies ? I reckon ive got 3 available.
Who has got European sat-nav (so i can follow them) ?

That would be me!!!! Last time enroute to La Mans we headed off the beaten track. Just plonked for a town on the map and headed for it. Seemed to work well both ways!!
I could get hold of some Wilkie talkies, but the last time I tried to use them in the car they didn't work.

I'll just follow Paul biggrin

I have been looking into a Tom Tom Europe, £89 on Martin's recommendation, so if we do get separated I can play catch up. It is difficult to follow groups through towns that I don't know or not been too before. Easier on motorways.

Hope to have car back in next few days, major issues headache

Weekend can't come too soon
