Dazren, Neil, Silverback and other Brisslers....

Can we defer to you for guidance on the pub route please ???

I lived in Brissle in the 90's and its been a while, so can you guide us to this please:

Good Ale
Dukebox / good music
Plenty of room
Chav count at minimum
Maybe grubbage?

There were definitely some decentish places at top of Park Street, problem is I haven't been in town for a while and places seem to change hands quite frequently. I'm also crap with names . However less likely to end up with Chav types, Students yes but apart from being really young they're usually ok.

Actually another place I've been to more recently is Zero Degrees, can eat there but have to book ahead. Good atmosphere, music bit loud, home brewed beers. Its not quite in Town though Its on the hill where the BRI is (childrens hospital area)

I vote for normal pubs with beer and a big corner we can take over....

Hopefully a jukebox we can fill with tunes...

As opposed to anything poncey or full of mouth breathers thumbup

yes sounds good I just can't think of any in the town. I'll get my thinking cap on (or ask around)
The hatchet would fit the bill complete mix of people but still a lot of students

The Hatchet being very close to the centre though...

I used to drink in there, but then I used to go in the Rising Sun in Bedminster paperbag

You having a laff?

Hatchet is full of bikers, goths and pierced people, hardly what I envisage most the attending PHers enjoying. If its a night out, I'd rather have a more lively pub than one I will fall asleep in or be discussing Piercing Monthly with my neighbour.

Tested last were MBargo and Lizard lounge, and the tunes great and the sights easy on the eye and the sambuca alcyholicy :hic:

must try not to argue with the dude in the unmarked blue saloon Volvo v70 again - had to do some rapid slightly drunken 'unarguing' to not get my collar felt...

(Silverback Mike you know who that was last night?)

Getting arsey with taxi drivers, no matter how much the copper agreed with me, is liable to a smack in the chops.
