My motorway milemunching oil burner should arrive next Tuesday so this will be its first outing. 2.2 Civic with all the toys - which will be nice compared to a 150000 mile old golf!

Discussions are ongoing about something for the weekend - ooer, missus! I need something suitable to put in one of Bill's garages...

Well i want to hoon just to show niel that i'm still as quick/quicker than him.

For the benefit of RoadPeace/Brake spies I would just like to clarify that a "hoon" is not a race on public highways. "Hoon" stands for "Hearing Our Own Noise", and is an occasion in which we find quiet stretches of road to clearly hear our cars' engines running, in order to identify any potential sources of excessive emmissions.

Presumably this is why a curry is such a popular option

My ears are still ringing!

On that note, I'm sure I heard you heading off from the shops... from my driveway once I'd arrived home. Good effort!

Is your car even noisier than mine then Neil?

I'm pretty confident it is, however, we shall find out.

Preferably with ear defenders, and in the middle of nowhere at fifty yards away.

BTW, it's not the Golf - it's a TVR S (not officially mine *yet*)

Please do - I'd be interested to know how noisy the TR is in decibels.

Option 5a is a bugger for me to get to from Bath although I can have my own mini-Hoon and meet you at the curry. Option 3 sounds good too especially if there are nice views (the Bridge and pretty women both count here!).

I was just about to post a request for daz to bring the shout-o-meter along. Coincidence. I'm probably having a silly exhaust fitted on Saturday, so am quite interested as to whether i'd get on any trackdays.

Race? What? eh? anyway, currently working doubles (08:00-22:00) so apologies for prievious post suggesting boy racer tendancies, it's not big and not clever. I'm just a little bit tired.
What is the general concensus if it's sunny; avon gorge or make hoon whilst the sun shines?

Tricky choice - hoonery is preferable in daylight and the terrace also doesn't make sense in the dark / rain...

I'm thinking we should have a propper night out one non-school night and get bladdered/badgered/fally-downy/tired-&-emotional?
