Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a paintshop within easy reach of Yeovil/Wincanton - or Bath at a push?

I need someone to do a sound - but not concours - job on respraying the front of the Scimitar following last year's prang, so they need to have some experience of GRP: the guys I have used in the past are terrific but they work to far too high a standard for a competition car and are quoting way more than I can justify spending on this...

Cheers,

Nick.

Hiya,

Just got my car back from

SGH Bodyworks & Sons
Unit 5, Beehive Trading Estate, 72-82, Crews Hole Rd, St. George, Bristol, Avon BS5 8AY
Tel: 0117 941 4010

They have done a stunning job! They pay attention to the smallest of details...Good perfection and not stupid prices

Mention me (RX7) if you use them....

Cheers

Jon

Hi,
I may be able to help. I know someone in Stanton Wick, Chew Valley - Bristol side of Bath. He painted my Corvette, his own Vette, and several other mutual friends Vettes too, and to show winning standards. Also has done GRP repairs / paintwork recently to another friends Vette and it's perfect. Very sensible prices as he isn't a bodyshop primarily, but does a great job. I'd reckon ideal for what you are looking for, good bit cheaper than any bodyshop I know, and does what you want to the standard you want. If you are interested send me a PM, and I'll pass his details to you privately. He's always busy and I'm not sure he could cope with the work if too many people heard about him
