Moving to Brighton - Finally.
Discussion
Well its six months in and what are my thoughts?
The adjustment from living up north to the hustle and bustle of the south is getting easier.
I still find people not quite as friendly however I am noticing that once you drop this wall then Brightonians are a laid back friendly bunch which is nice, Totally different to the sterotypical miserable southerner that some portray.
Having been back up north to my home town I am noticing stuff about my old town that i dont like and was clouded over. For instance the parks for kiddies are great and i mean great, nice and modern and not run down or full of chavvy parents drinking and swearing, i'm sure it goes on down here but i've yet to notice it.
Now the weather is getting nice and it has been pretty nice so far this is making life easier as I can finish work and go out down to the sea front or for a walk.
My only downside is my employment, i've gone self employed (well I was forced to tbh) and this is not working out nor did i expect ot to long term.
I think that there is more opportunity down here with manufacturing but depsite knocking on doors and speaking to various agencies advertising buying jobs this has ammounted to nothing.
Maybe time to look into doing something else, anyone know of any lucrative jobs in Brighton then i'm all ears.
Anyway thanks for listening.
Surprising what is on your doorstep.

Very few people ever moved to Brighton for big bucks. In fact the reverse is true. If you want to earn proper money, you have to go to London & in Brighton, that's exactly what thousands do every day.
That is true, No difference in salaries compared to Manchester/Cheshire which is a lot cheaper to live. I suspect a lot of the big earners commute into the smoke.Gassing Station | South Coast | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
