Just had a look at the listing, looks in really good nick, and its just down the road from me! Not a fan of the wheels, but they might be a grower, the only thing is the doorcard/speaker thingies are gash. Liking the manifold and stuff, bet it sounds quite good for a little four banger eh?

9 and a bit hours to go too, good luck!
They're a definite grower hehe

& yeh I agree on the speaker/doorcard...We will see!

Sorry to hear that Luke, somebody going up the back of you should prepare you quite well for Mx5 ownership though wink

My car's being collected on Tuesday for repair, but I reckon the damage may be enough to write it off! frown

Not sure... scratchchin

It's not being collected by the insurance company until tomorrow so I hope ot find out this week....
I joked with my dad when I was back at my parents for the weekend (it happened on the A272 en route to theirs) that if it was written off (and I could afford the insurance! wink) I'd buy something stupid, along the lines of a Clio V6... hehe

Oh well, just need to find out what's going on!

Anyhow chap, enjoy your new wheels! driving
Clio V6 isn't a bad idea at all! wink

I'm smitten with the 5 now...Brought it back home yesterday. All 150 miles of it with the top down around midnight! Brilliant fun & a great little car!

My mechanics just checking it over at the mo as we had a little "incident" with changing through the gears yesterday...But aside from that, it's gorgeous! thumbup

You have to get one Luke smile

Closure to this thread - Pictures of the '5 smile

Wednesday evening - Somewhere north east of Winchester...About to head home to Worthing with the top down having just picked it up from the old owner.

Friday night @ 11:30 in a cold cold cold shed in E.Sussex having the gear linkage sorted out

Saturday/Sunday - This thread better sums up what happened: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Monday morning - Relaxing after a top down hoon into work first thing! The hoon home was just as good if not tons better.

Chuffed. It needs some slight tweaking with the gear linkage still but it's given me more fun, smiles & memories in 1 weekend than the 328 did over the past 18 months thumbup
