I think you're right in that he has given it to his ex wife. I used to work nearby, you'd regularly see his (I assumed) helicopter going to and from.

A news article dating back to 2005 mentioned a 420 acre estate. I think there is a building company which he owes/ is something to do with in that neck of the woods too.

From a news article:
"The 420-acre estate includes a seven-bedroom house, two polo pitches, stables for 100 horses, a tennis court, a rifle range, a trout lake, a go-kart track, an indoor pool and Jacuzzi and a plunge pool."

He brought if from an Australian media magnate Kerry Packer in 1999 and I believe a rich Arrab who bred show horses before that.

I've learned quite a bit looking up some more information about it.
