Another Corvette for me (that'd be my 7th).
It is a highly underrated car - people don't realise how cheap they are to buy and how cheap they are to run (e.g.plug change at 100,000 miles). I get 25mpg from mine all day long round town (I can get 5mpg if I try) They come fully loaded with more options than some luxury cars, including heads up display. They produce oodles of torque and 400bhp+ from a bullet proof push rod engine. The most common complaint is that they are left hand drive. Oh, and Clarkson used to hate them coz they're plastic................

SadlerJ - Sounds like you ought to be buying a Ferrari 550 to me - probably the best value 200+ mph car on the market and just so pretty. A good long term hold IMO, I'd be amazed within 2-5 of years if you couldn't turn a sensible profit on it.
Nar...drove one once...did not like it...a big big and lazy for my liking, also only has 2 seats..my V8 Vantage is much more fun...and much more pretty...more interested in motoring perfection than profit...Edited by sadlerj on Tuesday 17th February 15:58

M6 I know your missus has an M3 but the v10 goodness would be quite something! I really cannot think of any 4 seater super cars that aren't either too big or 4wd, what about a 911GT2?

I have always thought that I would sooner the M5 than the M6 may as well have bigger back seats, so the 'missus' an E60 M5 for a while and I loved the V10, but found the car a bit big for proper b-road fun, so went to a 3, but needed the touring capacity, so as they do not make the perfect family car (in my eyes) the an E91 M3, we went for a E91 335D. All these are by no way a replacement for the Vantage..I had a blast in a 997 GT2 and what a monstor...absolute hoot..but I think I prefer the Aston over all..
