Saw you going down SeaGrove, you must have spanked it along the sea front as you rounded Eaststoke corner as I turned into Southwood Road cop
Not me guv'nor, if it was it was only cos the bigger boys made me
laugh

Ross,

just having text chat with Matt regarding this, changed coil, dizzy cap and rotor arm and had the immobiliser...........immobilised and the Pimpmobile still refused to start!!!
Bugger, what's the next port of call then!? What about the plugs?
Establish if the ignition is firing.

Then pull an injector plug off and connect to a scope to see if its opening.

We know the engine was running fine last time it was used, so it's either fuel or ignition.

The car has been still in the garage for a while so it could be the fuel has deteriorated.

With the electrical side, we can hear the starter motor turning that mighty /awesome /majestic engine over, so in all probability the connection to the starter is fine. That leaves the battery connection to the ignition system, HT leads (and regulator maybe?). I'll dig around on the Web to see if anyone else has had the issue with an XJ40.

Next weekend I can help with getting the Jag started if you want Darren. However I can't say whether that'll be the Saturday or Sunday yet, I do long cycle rides on the weekend and leave the day with better weather open for it.

It also gives me an excuse to nose around the Jags again biggrin

Bristol of one form or another, not sure of the models,

603 maybe?

Bingo. I've never seen one on the road. It was parked outside a solicitors office.
It's a 411 Series 6, the Brabazon Motors demonstrator.

Just been out for a drive, saw a few interesting cars. green/pink I think (can't remember exact colours!) 350z in Arundel, a T350C in Amberley, and followed a red F430 through Storrington. Anyone here?

An interesting shade of green MX5 going through Curdridge on Saturday with a smiley on the back. Did wave but not sure if you noticed.

I keep seeing a hideous purple, slammed, rat of an MX5 in Walisdown. How that thing can handle properly on these roads is beyond me.

I'll try and get a photo of it.
