It had the light on the roof mounted on a smart ally bracket and the usual two set into the grille. I was surprised myself, but yes I am sure..

OK, loads of unmarked police cars have the flashing light(s) mounted on smart ally brackets and two visible in the grill. Sort of defeats the purpose of the unmarked police car in the first place doesn't it? The purpose of unmarked traffic cars is to catch people by the cars being inconspicuous. Having the lights stuck on it externally does not make sense. There is no way it was a police car.

Were the lights visibly blue or just the white looking LED types? In which case it could be paramedic, fire officer, SOCU (who also use blue lights) etc etc or perhaps a motorway maintenance person who likes cars and needs flashing amber lights? The list could be endless.

I've seen the new shape 3 series patrolling the M6 near J20 a lot again recently, last three digits of registration are EXE.

Also spotted a dark coloured 5-series this morning, same area.

Basically, if you see anything from BMW in that area, stick to 70mph

I know what I saw and what I saw was a UFN!

Unidentified fking nissan.

It was a GTR, plain white, with a beacon on top. I assumed police but it could be anything I guess. Who else might be mad enough to put a full length beacon on the roof of a brand new GTR?? (Not sarcasm, I actually want suggestions!).
