The quality's not great or is that just the download?

I must have had my foot down at the end because it took Fly Boy ages to catch up with me.

Well done guys.

It's all about compromise. It starts off at almost DVD quality but it's also nearly 1gig. I needed to make the balance between quality, amount of footage and file size. 20meg was my target file size so I had to significantly reduce quality.

Eeeeek, that yellow Tam gets a wriggle on over the top of the moors

I've overtaken many cars before, but that was stunning exploitation of the overtaking gaps

There are never any free download slots available!

Got one now though
Interesting video - looked some "spirited" sections!

I really want a Tam now, starting to think it's the best Tiv of the last 10 years visually the more I see them (in the right colour of course)...

WWVI had yours was it Fly Boy, and Willyworms?... Still just that little bit *too* much money for me though

Maybe next pay rise

Scared the sh1t out of me but I couldn't resist using it as closure for the video.

Good video, very entertaining Shame about the compression quality, but for a movie that long at <20MB it was pretty decent. Isn't it amazing how fast 60mph looks on those North York Moors roads? I was a bit worried about the horses at the start, even when trickling along a fleet of TVRs makes a pretty intimidating sound. They seemed ok with it though.

I totally agree on the overtaking, what a fantastic machine for it, I was willing the driver not to change up, and to cut the corner over the little bridge at Brocka Beck (really satisfying when you can do that).

Loved the piece by Chopin at the end, reminded me of "The Interceptor". I like it Mikey, I like it a lot *honk*

Indeed.

Any chance of encoding a bigger version, say 200meg?

Surely if we setup a nice torrent for it, or bung it up at a few locations (loads of free download places these days), we can enjoy it in higher definition video and audio!?

Still good as it is though. I'm amazed how good it is for just 20meg!

If not that, then how about popping it on a DVD and charging a couple of quid over Paypal? Split any profit between Pistonheads to help with server costs, and a North Yorks charity? A bit faffy though, admittedly.

I don't like the DVD route. My editing software isn't good enough. No background music option and image fading isn't there either. All it does is chop and splice.

Just make a 100meg version, and get it ready if you like.

I'll take it off your hands (via msn or similar), then host it...

Never tried Google video but that might be an option, but not sure on res/bitrate limits etc...

Cheers
