anyone recommend somewhere nice to stay in the vicinity of Hgate?

yet again I have left it late to book my accomodation, looks like i'll be sleeping in my car!

pointers to hotels would be handy!

thanks...

got it but damn thing is booked up, nearest one is leed/bradford!

i'm wading through the holiday sites at the moment which is by turn frustrating and deeply annoying

everywhere is booked!

i'm going to do the laterooms thing I think! or the car is still an attractive option, park up off the beaten track and crash out i'll sleep anywhere so it's not the horrific option some of you might think

Okay, I'm being blonde here.... What's happening on Saturday night, is it a boozy night or are we planning some kind of formal dining? Personally I'm up for

boozy night for me! whether there will be food or not, i'll be putting away the tequilas like... well like I always seem to do on a PH night out!

tequila...it makes me happy..

I fully expect to be talking bollocks by 9pm

who's up for a c*nvoy? i'll be leaving kingston at 12pm heading all points north passing derby at 2ish, sheffield at 2:30ish and arriving harrogate at 3:30ish depending on whether a stop in leeds is required

I think there might be a band on at the nags head.

Tom, if you're in town early pm and are at a loose end, drop me a line and I'll keep you company over a few sherberts and an education in Pool

plus, FA cup final on of course of you're a fan?

eta harrogate 3:30 so barring my usual mishaps i'll drop you a line - i'll mail you mine in a sec

I would've suggested a quick blast but i've put 8,000 miles on the TVR in the last 3 months so i'm taking the company car..having said that.. I can rag the nipples off it with a clear conscience!

8,000 miles holy moly

Built to last these tvrs

Thats my ex..

Put some bloody oil in her old chap!

If you'd like to arrive in a little more style, (or you blow the company hack up befopre Harroagte), I've a spare seat heading north..

I would do, but i've an appointment that I can't miss on the sunday morning and I need to get there under my own steam...TVR is very tempting particularly if the weather will be nice but I fear the beemer will win

Ah well..

Convoy!

Second thoughts, Beemer you say? Maybe not, people might think I know you..

c*nvoy is a good idea, eta sheffield (wooley edge?) at 2:45ish I should think depending on traffic...

and i'll have you know that said beemer can cruise at 130mph with no trouble so I will keep up!

I can probably make that, leaving work at 12.30, need to pop home and change clothes and car 1st. Simon left me a message saying he would be there early evening though, so I dont see how a convoy fits in for him.

just been on the phone to simon, we are meeting at jct 36 on the M1 northbound at 2:45pm tomorrow, I will be driving past jct 25 (where I expect to meet up with J_S_G) at approx 2pm please feel free to join us your wozzness

One last question.... jeans - acceptable or not tonight?
I know, I know!

good god, up this early in the morning worrying about what to wear tonight!

jeans are acceptable I should think - for the older generation if we say jeans aren't acceptable they'll probably turn up wearing slacks so jeans it is!

due to excessive partying (is that possible?) and a hangover that only starbucks can resolve I may actually be in my work suit so i'll be the one who looks gimpy

Don't suppose you guys remember the commotion caused in the hotel when Tom wander back in with the cone on his head? BG and I were just enjoying a civilised malt as a nightcap when all hell broke loose in reception. Funnily enough we both guess it was you lot arriving back..

I was far too far wasted to notice anything but I do recall some sort of fuss...I just waved my hand in their general direction and walked off

Tom - give me a bell tomorrow and we'll sort out what the hell happened with the bill - they tried tacking on breakfasts we didn't have (on top of us both seemingly having handed the plastic over for it!)

ok fellow will do...they have charged my card too!
