Is this Sat & Sun?
Might have to bring the Pork out for a blat and if bikes are allowed to run, I'd see if we could max it out.
Pork did 191 through Brunters speed trap, but if this is slightly shorter I reckon the bike would have it on acceleration to 186mph (which I beleive the bike is limited to).
I Just booked 3 time slots on Saturday morning Stu.. Assuming I can find it....Might have to bring the Pork out for a blat and if bikes are allowed to run, I'd see if we could max it out.

I'll see you there - unless you fancy a few sherberts and crash at mine tonight?
Raincheck..? Friday night few sherberts in Leeds, cant trust myself Phil you know well it would be 3am and pizzed as a fart...... Indian tonight and bright eyed an bushy for the morning, thanks for offer mind. The chance to run your car at speeds at which it was designed to do are few and far between these days.Having done 2 candlelighters charity days at sherburn being able to put the pedal to the fibreglass is priceless!Having seen 155mph into a headwind chasing a 997 Turbo S i can't wait to see what people can attain this this weekend in favorable conditions!Looking forward to meeting up with you all this weekend cheers phil
All run safely and without incident - so well done everyone
Especially good when there was such a variety of speeds and abilities of drivers and cars
We have also raised some good money for our 2 chosen charities
(figures to be finalised before announcing)so all good fun for a good cause
Cheers to all who ran
Trickie
PS I believe the runway is 2km not 2 miles as I was informed

Cheers for organising it and putting the details on here. It was interesting to see the difference in straightline performance between my car and (some of) the others. Especially good when there was such a variety of speeds and abilities of drivers and cars

Hi I know this is an old topic but with regards to the original post, does anyone have any information on the old Mintex test track? I ask this as my present car (currently under restoration) was originally owned by Mintex and used as a test car for brakes pads / linings etc
Wondered what years they owned it from/till or if any past employees/test drivers of Mintex were on this forum?
