I can see only one flaw in your master plan, 5th August is a Saturday.

Some of us work 7 days a week.........

....... not me though

I see a flaw in the plan

Well I live in Leeds, and occasionally work there

I'm down south at the mo, although if I'm back on Saturday I'll come out for a beer or two

I hereby promise that if any photographic is purchased on a drunken whim for example from a nearby tesco then I shall not be getting my arse out this time - and that doesn't mean i'm getting anything else out instead either!

Do we still need a plan, too??

Pre-drinkies driving on Saturday: I'll be in the mostly-mondeo, so am up for a bit of country-lane near-miss action on Saturday if anyone else is (weather forecast for Sat. is good)

Early starters: It's been far too long since I've been out in Leeds, so a bit of an extended session would suit perfectly. Anyone fancy early(ish) beers down The Calls somewhere? Word of warning - I'm feeling the need for getting seriously girl-drink-drunk on cocktails.

Meeting place/time for late starters: 7PM? Some other bar down on The Calls? Cuban Heels?

Food: Anybody going to need some? How about Akbars?

Post-drinkies driving on Sunday: Tom mentioned a run out on the Sunday to me. Weather forecast's not great, but anyone up for that as an alternative to Saturday hooning?

hotel rooms seem to be mostly sorted, not sure if I can make saturday run as have to be on the other side of the north but I aim to check in about 6pm at the latest...run on sunday would be good, not fussed too much about the route as long as it's fairly twisty

well...a run out along the M62 just doesn't have the same ring to it in my view

perhaps we can compromise.... simon? activate your parlaying abilities and mediate with us about a route!

6pm sounds good.

I won't be on any drives though:

a) have to be up early Sunday
b) Carrera's going in to have it's gearbox put back together tomorrow!

How about we go for Cuban Heels, 6-7pm (given nobody seems to be up for an all-dayer. And, following last night's drinking session, I'm a bit dubious myself )

Lightweight!

We still have the chimenea lit and a few bottles of wine to get through.

I think I'm still taking the Carrera for a drink in the morning and i'll see you lot later to have my gearbox fixed ... hic

Me the lightweight? Am still hard at the liquor as I (barely) type this. Am also in the middle of a rather important change to a rather large e-commerce system at the same time - definitely not the wisest bit of multi-tasking I've ever done! Still, what could possibly go wrong with adding the ability to discount products up to 100% off their original price...

Interesting learning from tonight's alcosperimentation - innocent fruit smoothies plus spirits make for fab cocktails.
