Im sure Chris will find us all somewhere suitable - we just have to give him time to "negotiate"

They have quoted normal group rates, cos they seemed to be under the impression that we wanted to visit the ground like normal tourists.

I sent them a detail email, with my suggestion for £4 a car. They have offered Parking in the north field (not opposite the house, but near enough for photo's). If people want to visit the house or bird garden then they will have to pay extra.

As far as i am concerned, anyone displaying the "Cars in the Park" logo. Yet to be designed should be allowed in. Offers of a logo design are welcome! I would love to use Pistonheads stickers but I will be posting this event on a lot of different forums. We will probably try to Group the sports cars togeather and park the Normal cars to one side (Photo's u know).

That sounds like it would be reasonable.
At the end of the day we are just looking for somewhere large enough and in a nice setting to park and meet up. They will no doubt get extra revenue from people who want to see the other attractions or buy food/gifts.

If you like the Sound of the event, at most it should be £4 a car. Please put your name on the Pistonheads calendar.

This will give me extra ammo to negotiate extra side events.

oh , her butties are very good (not meant to be taken the wrong way)

and the drive would give me time to get the car warmed up.

Edited to say: calendar link isn't working or is it just me.

The 18th April is a definate. The other two dates are a bit fluffy at the mo. They moved one and i have moved one.

Sent them an email of saturday. So probably won't hear back till monday anyway. Then the haggling begins.

If you can start drumming up support for the 18th April . It would be much appreciated. Just be prepared to move the venue

No idea. Does he post here?

I'd suggest some interesting villages and twisty roads to start with finishing with a run to the outskirts of Leeds then across to York and through to the NE coast dropping folk off on the way.

We have used this design for meetings before.

You can download a big version of this from my website Flag

You can also put your PH name on the flag so that people know who you are.

Oh, didn't realise. How you doing by the way Richard? I see you have bought a Chim, glad you saw sense and stayed with TVR.

Hopefully will see it/you soon. BTW I have already reserved my tent pitch next to yours at PF2004.

I think you'll be waiting quite a while to see your namesake on PH Rich I'm afraid.

And if Harewood falls through, then Bolton Abbey Is ideal, shed loads of space, bang next to the river so anyone can go paddling, you can have BBQs / kick balls about / chuck frisbees, anything you like really .... oh, and the roads to get there

Hi,

Trying a different tak. Asking Bolton Abbey for group parking. It's £4 to get in and is just as good a venue. The roads are cool but there's a lot of scooby around. Nice to know are tax payers money is not being wasted .

I'll then pass on the news to Harewood with the details and see if they can do better.

Final bid made for the Harewood venue. They have confirmed all the dates . I am just negotiating the price on entry . So i am hoping for good news soon. Just depends on how much of a business head they have.

If you would like to attend then please put your car/name down.

Cheers
