SUPERCAR, SPORTS & CLASSIC DREAM RIDES EVENT 2008 JENNY WREN
Discussion
GUYS, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL. ITS 2008!!!!!!![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)
THE REASON I AM BRINGING THIS THREAD UP AGAIN IS BECAUSE ITS 2008 AND SUMMER WILL BE HERE SOON; AND I NEED TO KNOW IF ANYONE WOULD BE WILLING, ONCE AGAIN TO OFFER THE USE OF THEIR CARS TO DO PASSENGER RIDES FOR THE PUBLIC FOR A NOMINATED LOCAL CHARITY AT THE JENNEY WREN INN.
THE SUPERCAR DAY LAST YEAR WAS A TOTAL SUCCESS EVEN THOUGH THE WEATHER WAS BAD!
THIS YEAR'S EVENT 2008 WILL NEED TO BE BIGGER AND BETTER THEN LAST YEAR SO I NEED TO KNOW IF YOU GUYS ARE WILLING TO HELP AND SUPPORT THIS EVENT. IT CAN ONLY WORK WITH YOUR SUPPORT.
YOUR TIME AND SUPPORT WOULD BE MOST APPRECIATED AND MOST WELCOME.
I NEED TO GET A GOOD IDEA OF WHO WOULD BE INTERESTED IN SUPPORTING THIS EVENT![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)
PLEASE NOTE THE 2007 EVENT THREAD IS AT :-

MANY THANKS AND KINDEST REGARDS,

I'd me more than happy to bring the Tamora along if I'm free. I work two weekends out of four, which is why I couldn't make it last year. The sooner you can get the dates up the more chance I have of booking time off if required. Got to admit I'd love to attend anyway, just to drool over some of the real exotica ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

I need to make sure the date does not clash with the LE Mans and LE Mans Classic plus any other car major events. Would a bank holiday be good this time?
A suggestion was made to hold the event on a Saturday and Sunday over a weekend so owners of the cars and the public have a choice?

See if you can find me a dirt track that runs along side the roads you're all using and we'll make proper use of the Escort!
The river path ... it´s wider than the road!If I´m in the country I´ll come along.

Guys,
Just been checking the major motoring events and FOC calendar so not to clash with events.
I am looking to do the event on a Saturday as the pub gets really busy on the Sunday. The dates I am looking at are Saturday 28th June, Saturday July 19th, Bank Holiday Saturday 23rd August.
Earlier then June and the weather can be unpredictable, Mid June its LE Mans (13-16), Mid July LE Mans Classic (11-14), Start/Mid August people usually on vacation and September weather starts to change again.
Your suggestions would be most welcome !!
If the 19th July would work I could have a F40 to do rides (ex Allen Prost owned car) and a 1970's grand prix car on display!!![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)
You should be covered by your insurance as your doing the event for charity and not excepting money for business.
There was no problems last year with any of the cars and when doing the rides we advise that you stick to the speed limits and road traffic act

This event sounds excellent kenyon - I'll be sure to come along with my wallet bulging, especially as its for charity. A local one I assume?
p.s. check out the 'spotted' thread in Fez/Lam section!![wink](/inc/images/wink.gif)
