I drove through the tunnel underneath the runway at Leeds Bradford airport today, and the noise was amazing. We turned round straight away and went through it another 3 times. Are there any other decent tunnels round here - I know there are some in Leeds but there are loads of scameras just past them. If there are - what about a northern tunnelrun?

I think that's about it Mark.

Nice choice of cars by the way, Aero and a T5, very nice. The T5 isn't yellow by any chance is it? I love them in that colour, especially with the anthracite wheels!

South down the M1 onto the M62 towards Manchester? But it's a long loop to go round and do it again.

On huddersfield ring road, travelling south from the halifax road round to the leeds road, but be careful, it curves, and traffic backs up through there !
Also tunnels on the A58 in Leeds.
The LBA tunnel was the first place I went with my 911 !

My T5 is a lovely maroon, not yellow - sorry!
Cheers for your help finding tunnels everyone.
The only other one I know is in Kildwick near Skipton that goes under the canal. It's a bit short but still good fun. I'm hoping they dig one under ilkley moor to bypass the town centre. How about a petition for one

If you ever go over the moors from Colne to Haworth you will pass a reservoir with high walls. Its flat and long, so put your foot down and half way down lift off and you get one hell of a echo.

Tunnel under the railway is excellent even though a 30mph limit!

Agree with the other guys

A58 is the best depending on what time you drive through it
Under the A64 in Leeds city centre - always good for a short traffic free blast. you just need to watch for the joining from the left.

LBA is a bit to far out - but worth it if your in the area.

so we've got to string together;
the innercity ring road
the A64 York rd
the A58 (between the armley giratory and the M621)
Anyone know a route to link them all with a decent watering hole?

I don't but im sure some kind sole should from Leeds!!!!

Was that a hint?

Probably best to turn right out of the Cinema, head for the City Centre down Kirkstall Road, then under the flyover and right onto the A58 - following signs for M621 - West M62. That picks up the tunnel going toward Elland Road.

After that, loop back aroung the roundabout through the tunnel again, then follow signs for A58(M) City Centre. That should take you under three or four tunnels of varying length and decibel level!

We could do this for a giggle actually!!
