Guys,

I am looking to organise a Supercar and Classic Charity Dream Rides event at the Jenny Wren Inn in Susworth sometime in June on a Saturday.

The event will be for charity called Lindsey lodge Hospice. They are a charity organisation (www.lindseylodgehospice.org) that offer a range of specialist sevices for people with specific life threatening illnesses. They provide loving, specialised nursing and medical care which is sensitive to the needs of the individual patient and family.

I propose to have a selection of classic sportscars and supercars to be able to offer dream rides for the public that attend the event. All dream rides will cost £10 per person, which every peeny will go to the charity. Food, drink and a barbeque will be provided where the money will be donated to the charity. A prize giving raffle evnet will be held on the day too. All ages welcome.

I currently have a local Ferrari 360, F40, 2 x 348's, Aston martin D7 Vanatge, Cobra, Lotus Esprit, GT3, GT3 RS, and some classic cars etc coming. There will possible a 1970's F1 car on show out of possible 3 that race in the boss championship and possible a GT racer from the Britcar Championship etc. To be confirmed by date.

I have set out a 3-5 mile route through some conutry roads which are light for traffic, fast and have nice bends.

I NEED YOU GUYS TO HELP AND BRING ALONG YOUR CARS TO HELP SUPPORT THIS EVENT. THE MORE THE BETTER TO SUPPORT THE DREAMS RIDES OR JUST PUT THEM ON DISPLAY.

YOUR HELP WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED. JUST GETTING AN IDEA OF SUPPORT CAR NUMBERS AT PRESENT.

WILL POST MORE DETAILS IN DUE COURSE. THANKS FOR YOUR PERUSAL ON THIS THREAD.

That weekend is the same as Waddington Airshow which could see the first public display of the Vulcan bomber. If the forecast is good all weekend I'll happily bring the Corvette along on the Saturday and get to Waddington on the Sunday.

The Jenny Wren looks like a real nice place aswell!

Guys.
We need TVRs, American cars, nobles etc the more the different types of cars the better.

I would attach the poster to this site, but do not how to do attachments. Can anyone help?

www.jennywreninn.co.uk

Again I can not express how much your attendance means !!! I can only thankyou all for taking the time out to come along.

Hopeful I will get the date tied down next week.

Thanks again and Kindest Regards,
Justin

On Tuesday 13th March I be discussing the event further we people that attend the classic and sportscan evening.

I spoke with some insurances companies and they all say if the rides are for charity and no money is obatined for personal gain. YOU ARE INSURED as PLEASURE USE. So no problems there.

Steve.
Take you up on that. Once the poster is sorted with the confirmed date I will e-mail you it.

yes £10 in a F40 and owner races in the Boss Championship. He will not be hanging about. It drives it hard. He did last year when we did a charity event across the Humber Bridge. It was 40 mph on the bridge, but once he exited the bridge, hit around 160-170 mph !!

I'll arm wrestle you for the passenger seat.

Surely you could charge more for an F40 ride? I turned up at the Sporting Bears in the NEC with £100 for either the Stingray Racer or Enzo - neither were out unfortunately.
