New Performance Car Specialist in Hull
Discussion
Hello everyone!
Just wondering if you kind people would be willing to assist with some market research please?
I am looking to set up a new business in Hull, which will specialise in performance cars. To my knowledge, Hull does not have such a business. We will be mainly internet based and will operate from an industrial unit (yet to be chosen) and will sell performance cars aged up to 10 years (unless it is a very rare car). Such things as Audi S3 and S4, BMW M3 and M5, Honda Civic Type R and Integra R, Impreza, Evo, RentaultSport, Skoda VRS and so on. I will look to stock between 5-10 cars at any given time, with a view to holding more as the business grows.
The difference being, my business will prepare the cars properly, so no scuffs on wheels, bodywork sorted, valeted and detailed - and all cars will be hand picked by myself.
So my questions is, do you all think this business would be a success, and can anyone offer advice?
When I do begin trading, I will invite members from PistonHeads to an opening party where we can all gather maybe on a sunday, chat about cars, look inside the unit and see how it is presented. It will be an opportunity to get to know a few of you and get some feedback from you guys.
Thank you all for reading....

Thanks Guys, Yes there will be a good amount of capital ready to be used.
There is an industrial unit I have my eye on, which is on a site which has recently been refurbished and there is a new tarmac carpark with plenty of space. The site looks very modern and fresh - not what you imagine when you think of industrial estate. Also the best part is that the estate is also home to a bodyshop, and a MOT tester and a mechanic - so no need to have one on site, I can just go to them as and when.
The idea is that we will use online advertising, so we will do proper pictures of the car as well as a walk round video - which will be done inside under bright lights to show the car off best.
Oh and the Infinity showroom is now home to Nissan...
