I've just returned to Scotland after living in California for 3 years. While I was there I bought a Dodge Viper RT-10 which I'm in the process of getting shipped to me here in Inverness! It should be here and legal to drive by the beginning of December. I've just had some head and cam work done to it (on top of other existing mods) so it should be fairly rapid now!

Funny, reminds me of something from my youth. My father had the first Stag in Aberdeen. TRG 678K was the reg ... why do these things stick in my mind? rolleyes

Anyway, he picked it up from Rossleigh on the Saturday morning and then parked it in Union street outside his office to nip in and check the post. You could park on Union Street in them days - no bus lanes

When he emerged back on to the street, there was a crowd round the car looking at it. He was so embarassed that he walked past and stood round the corner until the crowd had dispersed. He was then able to get in the car and drive home.

Cheers,

Eric

Sorry, I thought I'd quote your post and fix the pic while I was replying but hit submit instead of preview ... and then went back to edit to add my reply ... and then someone came over to speak to me ... and then the phone rang ...

... anyway, I wasn't being a smart arse, it was a genuine mistake ... and my reply is now added.

Nice car by the way ... not so sure about the colour though

Cheers,

Eric

The Brown is starting to grow on me.
Even in the 70's its hard to imagine someone walking into a BL dealership and asking for a soft top sports car in Brown.
The "Magenta" i.e. purple colour is even worse.

Would like to go for a respray in British Racing Green or Dark Blue at somepoint.
But plenty of over bits n peices to sort out first.

I'd be inclined to big-up the colour, perhaps naming it 'Halcyon Jobbae'

Stag can still draw a crowd when it's parked in public.
Unfortunatley it always seems to be members of the blue rinse brigade gathered round it leaning on their walking sticks.
Brown Stag = definately not a babe magnet.
