So do I. As far as I know it's the only Mini with this paint-work, certainly in Scotland. There are a few that have been wrapped, mind. Gonna be fun getting this bad boy detailed sometime!

Not at all, personal taste, isn't it? I'm actually hankering after a matte black Cayman S, but funds really would not permit! It does look great in the metal though, there is a dull sheen to it and this being Glasgow, it looks amazing in the rain.

I like it, think it needs to be a bit lower though.

I saw a Cayman in Glasgow in Matte black with two stripes over the roof it looked really good, pretty sure it was wrapped not painted though. Also saw a 997 Carrera done the same, looked totally gash on the basic model smile

Caymans are cheap now, you could virtually swap your mini for one!

After rolling the last one, I'm keeping my insurance as low as it can go for a while, no mods! Not lowering it either, not sure how the handling would cope as it's already on 17" wheels, unlike the last which was 16" (and I think i prefered to be honest)

But still, loving the new toy. Also more economical than the previous one, which does help a lot. Time for a massive PH smilie for the rear window for sure though.

Hello fellow PH'ers. I wanted to post a couple of pictures and what will be the last time you see the engine in this phase of its life as I am about to rebuild her. I don't have massive plans for the engine but I do intent to increase the power a little further. It is also a chance to get inside the engine bay whilst the engine is out and clean it all down in preparation for the new engine I am going to build. I have a good few issues to iron out with her as well especially with her fuel pressure which was off the scale under load and caused me to make it through an MOT by the skin of my teeth.

In the mean time if you see me around town toot, wave or whatever smile

p.s. I want to start a project thread is there a home for those on the forums?

Clark, you're such a dick. wink

Every time I get any of my cars anything close to clean (and get that wee proud feeling of "I did that") you go and stick up some pics of a car that is impossibly clean biggrin
I concur

I love the 3 door imprezas (type RA??). They look so much better than the 5 door versions.

Hi folks, first time i've posted on PH for a long time, so i thought i'd come and introduce myself in here.

I'm Ryan, I live in Keith and this is my '53 Clio 172. It's used as gereral runabout for me, cheap (fun) thing for eating up the miles in and out of Aberdeen and leaving there when i'm offshore.

And the sensible car, which i am pretty much banned from using by my wife as she says i'll break it :/
61 plate 1.6 duratorq 110, 'sport' trim.

Would like to try and keep in touch with folk so I can make myself available for runs/meets etc.

So Hello! wavey
