[quote=jke11y] ( Our showroom is on Woodside Crescent, which is what Woodside Terrace becomes as it goes down the hill (red chair outside, cant miss it). Wouldnt mind a look at the Diablo.
No problem at all mate. I know exactly where your showroom is - quality interior designers and furniture place right? You're only 30 yards away from my office. I'll pop in and see you tomorrow if that is O.K.

Mine was pretty stock - it was superb in a straight line, but was not as good around corners. There wasn't as much wallowing as in other US cars, but it was not up to (modern) European standards. I don't know how it compared with it's contemporaries...
The disk brakes on mine were servo assisted and worked off the engine vacuum - great for the first application, and increasingly less effective with subsequent presses of the brake pedal...
The V8 sound was like nothing else though

Hi Colin,
Well they dont handle too badly if all the suspension parts parts are new or in good nick. In saying that I have extensively modified mine. The list is a long one but the major items are: Heavier front springs, laminated GRP rear spring and Spax Gas Adjustables all round, heavier front anti roll bar, 'Smart Struts' with alter the rear suspension and prevent the rear wheels tucking under in the good old Triumph Spitfire tradition. I have also installed Steeroids rack & pinion steering instead of the vague recirculating ball steering box.
Currently I have, but not fitted Alloy front wishbones to replace the steel ones, these reduce unsprung weight but also allow for bigger castor changes and better camber adjustment & reduced bump steer. The reason they are not fitted yet is that I am fitting new shocks that are adjustable for bump & rebound and coil over springs, which are 'in the post' as we speak. These will amongst other things allow me to adjust the ride height for greater stability at high speed (because of the aerodynamics, steering gets a bit light over 140mph) Coil over dampers should be available for the rear by the end of the year.
BTW I am located in Edinburgh.
