Hi Karl, so glad to meet you. We had such a great time on the road home, certainly made it more interesting. Would certainly be interested in joining in the run later this year.

Lee.
Our Wayne was chuffed to see fellow Jelly Molds on tour, but I still win on stripes. You boys keep up rather well!

We are already planning the next run, and would love to meet you guys for a blast through your end of the country. Although a little concerned that we have been told the sun never shines up there.

Will keep you in the loop buddy, all the best

Brilliant Barry! Very well edited together. Well done to Lee and Ove as well. Worth getting up at 4.00 for that! No wonder you were shattered later in the day.

I've got a PC, it sits in my office where it belongs smile I watch vids with copyright music all the time, must be another reason.

John - I'm not going to argue......but Youtube say that UMG hold the copyright and they remove syndication. You can't watch it in Germany or on a mobile device biggrin

Same as the Applecross vids you can't see on a mobile.

JC - new copy of the second vid uploaded!

That's astonishing - had no idea you could drive on the circuit during the GP weekend! Tearing along is obviously not an option given the number of service vehicles milling about (and assuming normal driving reg's would still apply), but to be able to drive the track with the armco, kerbing etc. all installed would be awesome. That has to go on the list of 'things to do' - thanks for sharing!

WOW!! A trip of a lifetime. Out of interest how much did you spend and what proportion was on fuel.

I done 3026 miles and averaged 23 MPG. It works out around £1000 in fuel, or there about. Some of the bottles of wine drunk with dinner were dearer than a tank of fuel, and I can't remember how much the 2 bottles of champagne were on the last night? It was worth every penny though. smile

I did 2990 miles over ten days and averaged 22mpg. I used 95 ron most of the time so my fuel bill was only £800 which worked out to be about a third of the total cost of the trip including hotels, ferries, food, tickets, tolls, insurance, breakdown cover etc.
This was the cost but the value to me went way beyond this.
As Lee says, it was worth every penny. For me it ticked all the boxes for the perfect holiday.smiledriving
