I think I read an article in the Scottish Daily Express on Monday stating that all Police Scotland unmarked cars have to heve the police logo on them. Unfortunately HID threw the paper out before I could read it again, but I did see a plain black Volvo doing speed checks in the roadworks on the A9 at Perth with "Police" in red and the police logo on the doors which seemed strange.

I've seen this as well. In Inverness there is a lot of grey cars with POLICE in large red letters either along the door bottoms and/or on the rear panel, tailgate.. I am sure there are other colours of car being used and not just grey.andym1603 said:

Not sure if it's an unmarked car as it was just driving along, but yesterday I was passed on the M8 by a black Audi S3, reg SM10DVO (might be SN), three uniformed officers on board. Thankfully they seemed more interested in my dog (who'd climbed onto the rear windowsill of the Espace) than the fact that I'd just pulled out in front of them!
