Need to be in work tonight at 5.30 ish.

I have just been informed that a metal bar fell off the roof of the Clyde Tunnel today causing chaos and mayhem on the M8, Kingston bridge resembles the M25 apparently.

My usual route from N.Ayrshire to Cambuslang is A737, M8, M73, M74, off at Carmyle, left, down to roundabout, turn Right into Cambuslang Investment Park.

So I need another route. The Best way I can think of is over the Fenwick Moor on the A77 into East Kilbride, then from there I haven't a clue. I suppose from East Kilbride I could get to the M74 and go in that way, but it seems too much hassle, and too much sideways travel.

So, I need the best and Quickest way from East Kilbride to Cambuslang.

TIA
Stuart.

Cheers Steve,

I'm starting to think a quick detour around the kingston bridge maybe a little easier

Not knowing EK that well, or the M77 for that matter.

I'd rather go straight into cambuslang

Erm, West Kilbride (Ironic eh?) is my abode. Usually go to Dalry, pickup the A737 and jump on the M8 at the Airport. I'm tempted to come off the M8 at Tradeston, nip over the birdge at Gorbals cross and pickup the M8 again at Charing Cross.

Crossed wires and such , don't u just love it.

Well as you can see I'm back.

I had intended to go up the A77, into EK etc, but got to the A77 at Kilmarnock, saw the traffic on it, and the traffic trying to get on it. 2 words, That and FK. So I followed the 71 to the M74 and went into cambuslang that way.

Spent the last 12 hours driving a Bin Lorry round Glasgow City Centre. I have many many many rants as a result which I need to get off my chest, but first. i must Sleep.

Good Night, or is that Good Morning
