Nice one Matt! Remember when telling "she who must be obeyed" how much it is all costing , always take of one zero. IE £500 becomes £50! simple! and you stay alive! been using this technique for years. !

LeMans classic here we come!

I bet your wife used the same technique when she told you how much a baby would cost to bring up.... so you're quits ;^)

P.S. yes I know how ironic this statement is!!!

Started putting the bushes in and almost all are done except the ones for the upper front wishbones as they need pressing in so have given to a garage to put them in as they wernt cheap so don't want to to them wrong!

Finished the shocks - here are the fronts

Got all the replacement nuts and bolts for all parts:

So, decided to put the diff onto the carrier after I fitted the new bushes - that was THE most difficult part yet! Awkward doesn't come close....did it though! Small fight but I won...her are the scars!

Here it is upside down...

Chassis should be back this week and I've got a package turning up tomorrow with lots of shiny bits... Almost 60 pounds worth wink

Ha! Good spot! hehe

All the electrics are staying the same...I'm really lucky with the car as everything works and drove as it should just needed a bit less rust!

That should do you another few years!

I see you had the chassis zinc coated, how does that work? Do they dip it?

Indeed it should! I didn't see the process take place but apparently it is fired at the car through an oxyacetylene gun so it pretty much sprays over the car. You can't dip it as firstly you need to drill holes in every section and also as its old metal it could just bend and twist! You don't actually need to powder coat over it but it makes it pretty!

Looks good matt, but you haven't had the holes drilled for the body to bolt on to.

Hey Blaine! Cheers! The guys didn't drill the holes as they recommend I do them in the new place once the body is on.sounds like hard work to me!!

Well, I've learned that putting all new polybushes in everything, plus new powder coat makes things mighty tight! A lot of banging and swearing later and this is in...

I hoped putting it back together would be more fun curse
