JM ,as stated earlier,i don't really want to re-position the AFM as the Pwr Strg reservoir is attached to end of air filter,and pipes will be too short/inflexible for a re-posn(and it's a pain to re-modify with two young children to look after and not enuff hours in the day 
).....AM400, i think Tim can already supply a replacement silicone hose for a V8 wedge( i may be wrong-but a recent phone conversation indicated this was so)...that's why this discussion thread is leaning to the possibilty of a replacement AFM to Plenum pipe for those of us with 'set back' AFMs....Tim himself directed me elsewhere for a direct installation replacement of this pipe ,so i don't think he has a standard pipe 'on the shelf.'

Just thinking if you could put the steering jobbie elswhere to allow you to do more with the filter. My resevoir is bolted through the wheel arch. Towards the front of the arch, a bit further forward than yours is now?. Would the give you enough room to play with pipeing?
