Hi Dave, still waiting to hear, I know that Neil's been rushed this week and have left a few messages but still no confirmation? Any joy with Richard?

Steve, If they do come up together a photo opportunity will of course be necessary just have to hope that they make it before the 8th.....

Richard was not in today. Spoke to Tony at Renowheel. He told me hes had some problems with your wheels but they should be ready to go back to Peninsula on Monday. Lets hope they can pull out the stops and get us our cars back for the weekend. Im gonna call Ricahrd tomorrow and see if he can do it.

Update: Been to Henley H this afternoon, nice people, loads of wheel centres but not Oz sized for wedges. Wasn't a wasted journey though coz it's a great drive to Henley (even in the drizzle)

Parked between two Tuscans, and I thought the wedge looked bloody fantastic even in that company.

Plan B??? Martin (Redcar) got a phone number of the van man??

Spoke to Richard this morning. The wheels are due back with him Tues or Wed and he expects to get the cars back to us Thurs or Fri. (By the way Sean, Renowheel have put new OZ Racing stickers on the rims for us.) Regarding wheels centres, Peninsula have a new set on order for me from TVR.

Hi DP fingers crossed for the delivery of yours and Sean's car, can't wait to see them.

Wheel centres- now I'm confused because Peninsula emailed me back last week to say they couldn't get any!! HH are trying to contact the factory too, wonder if they'll come back with a f=different story?

WTF's going on??

Steve.
Made a complete F.U, gave out the TVR part number for centres and forgot to order mine & guess what, none left and TVR not making any more, Im up the creek without a paddle or any centres.
Anybody got any idea's as I've got four lovely refurbed wheels without any centre labels.

Martin you plonker! What happened to those being made by your local signwriting man, were they no good?

I've kept my old ones for spares and if you're stuck you'd be welcome to but a) there's only three of them an b) they're a little tatty with a hole in the centre as they were held in place with a screw.

Second suggestion, try another dealer, Peninsula told me they were not available yet Henley Heritage got hold of them a few days later without any bother!!

Good luck!

Steve.
Couldn't agree with you more, about the plonka, have all dealers inc HH, she said they had none and that the factory have sold out, appears they had a major rush and cleared there stock that has'nt sold for years, something about some idiot putting the part number on Pistonheads, the original ones I had made where thin and did not look good, I'm going to try and get some thicker ones made hopefully.
Lesson for today. If you find something you want BUY it first and dont about it, until after its in your sweaty little hand.

Martin,

You may be in luck but don't hold your breath: Peninsula were supposed to send up my new centres after the referb and didn't, so I assume they still have them ready to fit to my 400.. in the meantime I ordered a new set from HH whilst waiting just to be safe - the 400 should be back with me in the next week or so at which point I can let you know.

Cheers
Sean

Mike.
I had some made but they made them of thin whatever, very good repro but when stuck to centre they showed all blemishes on centre as they are not smooth. I think if they can be made as thick as factory ones you'll be on to a winner. Not that I'm trying to teach you to suck eggs. Keep me posted please.

I have been sourcing some suitable material today. I am aware if the labels are too thin then you will see all of the ripples of glue etc underneath so it will have to be on some special thicker stuff.

When I get the sample in the post off Steve I will crack on and get the repro done.

These hopefully will be ace.

I will keep you informed. I also got my window stickers done this week and they look brilliant. I am going to sell them in packs of two one for the toy and one for the civilian car! - it all helps to fund the site.

I am going to post them on the shop section hopefully in the next week or so - Keep your eyes peeled.

Mike
