Hi Ralph...The weather does look a bit pooey for the weekend...I got the epoxy putty and put some round the broken breather spigot coming off the tank and wanted to nip out today to see if my petrol is still leaking when i "left turn clyde"..But its started drizzling..frown..I have also ordered a set of front discs and pads and a set of new style indicators..How are your brakes, I totally forgot i still have the old front caliper's off of mine that you could of used/refurbed...I might have a go myself and get them sandblasted and painted and keep them for anyone that needs them..They will be painted red mind.. smile

Ralph,
if the rads no good...odds are the hoses to and from are shot.

If you can stretch to it, replace them while you are at it

Speaking from experience BTW !

Evening Guys
Well as the weather has got better its time to finish the car at last, so these arrived today to re-jet the carb and hopefully cure the low end lumpyness, so fitted 83 mains/ 80 sec's/ 83-47 rod's and sliver springs, pretty easy job as it turns out and here's a few pictures as always

edlebrock Carb

old metreing rods with red springs

float chambers which i check levels with a 7/16 drill bit

main and sec jet location

new springs/ the silver one are miles different

the 2 open tabs are the metering rod locations

metering rods in place

so fingers cross this better bl**dy work or i am stumped

cheers

Ralph
