Cheers guys!

I'm using a mixture of paints but the diff, hubs, rack etc (I.e anything that will get warm but not hot and needs to be quite strong) is in hammerite.

All parts on engine or right next to exhaust (e.g starter) will be in high temp engine paint. It's not as strong for chips but won't flake off with the hear...or that's the plan!! smile

Nice Job Matt!

Looking forward to coming over on Wed night to see what's left of it and all the shiny bits!! I'll probably come straight from work but quite tempted to go home and get the Chim first... (to take away your golf clubs of course!)

Looking forward to having you back on the Le Mans team next year!

Little update...cleaned off the engine and done a wee bit of painting...

Painted the sump too and refitted a new gasket as before it was on with silicone...

Had a cheeky delivery of parts today! Mainly a lot of bushes! Everything possible is polybush superflex smile

Managed to get the correct koni bushes..

Finally as I was going through all the packages in the box, noticed one which said 'a gift' and opened it up to see this!!

Thanks to the guys at David Gerald tvr who have been very helpful smile

Just a little update-doing quite a bit of waiting for stuff to be returned!

Everything with bushes have gone to a mechanic to get the old ones out! Not a fun job doing that so I was happy to let someone else have the pleasure smile

Shocks all look fine which is great news-once the bush kit is installed I will paint them up again...need to find out what colour koni shocks are - any idea? I managed to get some new koni stickers for them to finish them off.

I have had the clutch plates rebuilt and went for an uprated spec to make sure I can keep my traffic light races up to standard! driving

Other than that, been doing lots of cleaning and painting all the brackets before they go back on.

Chassis has been grit blasted and welding has begun...trying to be patient!!! coffee

Thought I would share a few pics of some stuff I've been getting together...picked up the shocks now the bushes have been removed and everything else has gone to be shot blasted and to the powder coaters...more on that when I see them!

Radiator which has been fully repaired as new-had a new style electrical thermostat fitted so I can swap the otter to that...

Prop shaft now painted...

Oil valves...

Oil cooler brackets painted, all cleaned...

Filter housing cleaned..

And new clutch arrived! It's updated as I said before so better quality plate but it's got updated double springs which I haven't seen before-nice colours too! smile

Blingin' wink
I think Vermilion might be a good match for the Koni colour.

Hey, fair play to you for finding the bushes, every time I've tried asking Koni UK for bits they just say no.

So I went to see the chassis and I'm pleased to say that Steve and Rich at southways are doing an excellent job smile

Here is how it looks now....all the welding is done but just needs the weld cleaned up and then it's off to be zinc coated then powder coated in bright red! Getting silly excited about it...I'm such a loser I know but I'm happy thumbup

Got the parts back from the powder coater and really pleased with the result. They came out far better than I expected. smile

Springs will look good over the orange too...
