As part of the rebuild to my wedge i have now finished the design for the upgrade to the rear end basically it starts with a four bolt 20mm selfaligning ball race with triple seals to replace the rubber bush, the pin connecting the bearing to the trailing arm is threaded to allow a decent amount of adjustment to allow the toe in to be adjusted, the lower link is also having a left and right handed adjuster so camber can be adjusted without the need to fit or remove shims to the drive shft plus all this can be adjusted with the car on the ramp, pictures will follow as the build takes place will be a little while as have just had my pacemaker replaced.

Hi John..That sounds just the kiddie..Looking forward to seeing the pics..Might be a worthy upgrade for me..Is it a mare to do or is it a simplistic design..Cheers..Ziga

It will not be to difficult to fit redrilling the front trailing arm fixing point and replacing the lower link with an adjustable version but all will need to be very accuratly fitted in the first place to ensure good tracking etc.

Sounds very interesting...Is this something you could be paid to fit as i have a friend who has just moved to norfolk to set up and continue fabricating steel..I could kill two birds with one stone so to speak...cheers...Ziga

I have a variable-voltage power supply we could hook you up to, if that's of interest? wink

Hi peeps..Went to Dan taylor this morning and had everything checked..The trailing arm mounts/bushes were actually ok..I do have a very tiny amount of wear in all of the halfshaft Uj's and some play in the suspension bushes...Also the front diff cradle bush is a bit sloppy..So really it all contributes to a slight amount of play..Nothing to worry about for now...We decided to fit the superflex trailing arm bushes to see how they will perform..Also the steel inserts that were supplied with them do not fit the pins so the ones from the old mounts were removed..Cleaned and fitted..They do fit very nicely..I will mention it to superflex and pass on a steel insert so that they can supply the correct ones for TVR's..Cheers...Ziga
