Hi

Well the Dutch have announced that they are coming to the Fest, woohoo and they have thrown the Gauntlet down for a Tug of War competition. yikes

I was not at the previous fest when the last Tug was done, so please help here!

How about we have four teams:

The Dutch team.

One team from north of the boarder. (If the Rusties are coming?) plus people from just south of the boarder i.e. Lakes etc!

One team made up from below the lakes to the midlands, including the Welsh!

One team made up from down south!

I think that covers everybody!

If you are happy with that idea then we can ask for people to volunter for the teams!

O! has anybody got a rope!

Andy

Someone did get a proper tug of war rope last time

Unfortunately I had a hernia at that time and couldn't compete for the English
but am all fit and well for this one!!!!

Mind you it doesn't take much to beat the Ditchies
as I am sure they were sponsored by "Mr Muscle Cleaner" for obvious reasons!!! Ha ha

Cheers

Excellent. I remember this from the 2006 wedge fest. It's on the dvd that I produced as well. Lets just say we nearly all could of died laughing our heads off at the time.... Just hope that I can afford to go this year, as I have had to miss the last few due to not having enough funds cry

What a great idea, put me down for that and what about the losers have to pay a donation to the wedge fest charity and then there really are not any losers.Better start the fitness regime.

I say the cloggies have to wear their clogs and bring bulbs and the jocks wear their skirts (commando) etc..

That's not likely to be fair to the southern cockneys though is it: laden with iPhones, iPads, AppleMacs and a pint of shandy, their free hand won't be able to grip the rope for the soversign ring... silly

Blimey!
I'd love to throw my weight in on the Midlands / English team, not too sure whether the team would need my whole 10 stone or not though hehe
I could always offer my services as the official Shandy, iPad, iPhone, multiple apple product, Sovereign holder wink to the English / Cockney team!
That's the coins, not the queen, before anyone says anything!

Does your wheel chair have a handbrake and room underneath for lead ballast.

Yes mine can be adapted, so I will put my name down for the team who gives the biggest amount to charity! hehe

Now on a more serious note, theh Tug of war is on.

There will be a trophy for the winning team!

Please put you name down in relevant team list if you want to enter.

The Dutch.

The Boarders.

The bit in the middle

The Southerners

I think a team is normally 8 or is it 10?

If we get more people than needed (The Boarders are filling up well) we can always increase the teams!
