I know some good roads. Some dates suggested are in the thread linked to. Or is January too cold for the top off

New Year Wedge yer` Way Round Wales ,
hood`s off and coats on ready to go - just need someone to select route and starting rendevouz.

PS Dicky how about a 6.00am start at yours - just to introduce us all to your new neighbours, doesnt seem fair that they have only met Jeff so far

30th/31st Jan will suit me. Rest of the weekends I am working.

Thinkin aloud here, where is anyone comming from dictates the meeting place? How far to go in one day? Where to stop for lunch? If there are only a few of us then lunch not a problem, or we may need to warn ahead. Also if its a nice day (above freezing) then a nice route, if its a mucky day (ohmygodididntseetheice) then a safer route.

edited to add, 2 dayer gets you around a bit. 1 dayer might be able to get as far as Machynlleth and back at a push but that gets the fantastic road over staylittle (doesn't mean there arn't any others to be had)
Another sugestion is meet up at Brecon, do the b roads as far as poss and weather permitting to Rhayader and the elan vally.

Above Staylittle/Dylife pass on a sunny day. Spot the rain.

Working Sunday, and events work related, might mean me missing a Wedge run out in the near future. Enjoy it if it happens.

Won't be able to make it tomorrow.

Also have taxed the car at last and only want the rain to stop so I can change the oil and start 'fiddling' to get it ready for some action.

What about 10am Sun 30th at the roundabout where the A470 crosses the A465 heads of the valleys.www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&X=300000&Y=210000&width=500&height=300&gride=&gridn=&srec=0&coordsys=gb&db=&addr1=&addr2=&addr3=&pc=&advanced=&local=&localinfosel=&kw=&inmap=&table=&ovtype=&zm=0&scale=100000&down.x=186&down.y=3

Theres a big layby just before the roudabout as you come up from Cardiff We can go to brecon from here a couple of different ways and then the options are endless.
Excuse the length of the link!

Right, troubles aside. Looks like I can still make it. Motor needs a service so a good chance to get that clean oil a tad dirtier and make sure its running sweet just in case. May be the last but hankys are still in the box at the moment.
