Started on another thread but we'll continue on here out of politeness.

Missing your Wedge buddies already? Got the BBWF blues?...Then how about a big Wedge meet Xmas time in Mid Wales?

I have phoned the Metropole Hotel in Llandrindod Wells this morning, they offer a 'Party Night' package for groups and have the following dates available: 9th / 10th Dec or the 16th / 17th Dec.

These consist of a live band / disco jobbie and a Xmas meal which has various options. The rooms are £32.00 per person per night and the Xmas dinner / party night is an additional £21.95 per person.

The hotel website is: http://www.bw-metropole.co.uk if anybody wants to take a look.

There are some absolutely brilliant roads around this area (which some of us know quite well) and I thought that we could all meet up, kick some tyres in the day. Go for a tour/blast around Mid Wales, head back to the hotel settle in, get some beer drinking done......then head on down to the party and grub.

Nothing sophisticated, unless we can get something organised just a good laugh amongst some good TVR Wedge owning friends in some of Wale's finest scenery.

Any takers?...or shall I get me coat?

MikeB

ps. the hotel advised that from now on the dates go quite quickly so we gotta get our scates on if this is what we wanna do.

Without wanting to be a wet blanket does hooning about roads in deepest Wales in the middle of winter just cry out for someone to loose it on ice and trash their P&J or worse?

...oh and i dont have a heater in my car...only a fan that blows ambient air at the windscreen...if only i could harness the heat i get from my brakes at the moment...

Iain

We are all sensible drivers (most of the time) so it should be safe enough, I have some pics of the a TVR do I went to there a couple of years ago which i will post up tonight, it was minus a lot on the thermometer and we still managed to have a hoon.

Besides, it's not totally about the cars; its the friends you make and the tidy like minded people you get to talk to that makes the Wedge meets so special.

Even if it all goes tits up weather wise then we can still get together in the bar.

And an awning with some chairs and a bigger fridge!

Seriously though an awning would be a good idea.

Around the middle bit. Only trouble is around that neck of the woods 'cos the roads arre so good you also get hurds of people coming from all over the country on big power bikes that keep on getting in the way

Yeh but we dont have a TVR power unit just a good ole Perkins 6cyl turbo diesel still it does have fridge/cooker/oven/colourTV/HI-Fi sleeping for 6 etc.

Maybe should have taken this to LeMans instead of the Wedge eh Paul?

It was cold that day. I took my Leven hood cover off (well chipped it off) and had to take it indoors to thaw a bit before I could fold it! Still went for a blast though.

Hardy stuff us Welsh.

Anyhow anybody else interested or is that it?.
