Fitted some new brakes to the wedge. I used Tuscan calipers, so a proper TVR upgrade.

Can you give us more info about what specialist parts were reqd, where you got them from, what discs you're using (how much?) and, most importantly, what are the brakes like now?

This is not just out of curiosity, am currently in the process of deciding how to upgrade the brakes on mine and don't fancy the usual Princess 4-pots and Granny discs.

Also best lef us know what wheels you are using and if you still have enough clearance .. as it can be an issue.

Discs are 291mm from a Tuscan as they told me. I had to fabricate just the round adapters you can see in the picture and drill new holes in the disc flange. For the calipers i fabricated some aluminium brackets that is all. All thät fits into the standard 15`wheels.
Brake feel is much improved. But i did just some road driving jet, will see how they work on the track. As there is less force on the pedal needed with the four pots, the flexing of the panel where the pedal bos is mounted is reduced as well. Now it feels like proper "sports car" brakes.

We need a short run on those brackets from someone with CNC access.

Put me down for a pair.

Brakes look excellent, but I am intrigued by the front anti roll bar.Looks like nothing I have seen before on a Wedge!

@Andy

I shortened the links on my antirollbar to make it harder. Thats why I needed to make some special end pieces to mount the drop links, wich are actually only one male and one female rod ends put together. But it works fine.

olly quickest way is to draw and write the dims on the drawing then scan and post as a picture, that way scale of drawing doesn't matter.

One thing I've not seen posted, about bigger brakes, is the the space saver no longer fits any more, well it does not on the racer that has AP5000 These are the 95% the same as the one shown.

There a really good free simple CAD program that you can download, I can't remember the name and its on my Home PC, will find it when I get home and post a link.

Me Too! already got the AP cerb calipers sitting in a box, and have just discovered my OE AP discs are worn down from 28mm to 25.7,and sre not worth skimming. I was going to get Hi Spec discs and bells and make up the Caliper mounts locally, so some info would be great on the tuscan discs size /offset etc...
Cheers

Hallo Andy,

I have a kit made up by an AP specialist that will take the Cerb (5200) calipers and will fitt within a 15 inch OZ wheel. The disc size is 295 x 28 mm with a bell and mounting bracket. He also made me a pair of brackets so you can use the 295 mm disc and bell with the standard Princess caliper
If you want further info just E-mail me through my profile

greetings
hans.

Reading this reminds me, I've actually got one of these knocking about (the only existing clone of the brakes on Dave Chant's car)!

Photos show both 262x24mm Ford and 270x28mm AP/400SE etc versions...
