Just been reading the hard to get parts thread thingy on the TVRCC Forum. Now from a personal point of view I cannot bring myself to reply as I have a long memory, Bitter I know but just the way I am built.

I will just chuck an idea in the pot here. With regards to the wheel centre caps. Has anyone given thought to 3D Printing...? There are many places that will now carry this service out and surprisingly it is pretty cheap by the looks of it. Their appears to be various materials that can be used to make parts needed. Also Hydro-graphics is a way of attaining the required surface finish like chrome for instance.

Just an idea for you guys to think about and chuck comments and thoughts of on here for all to share.

Cheers

As I said guys just an idea. Money is a bit tight at the moment with Christmas coming up and having a small family it can get quite expensive, especially as I have a 4 year old that is convinced he is Spiderman. But I am considering looking into a 3D printer. Between now and then I will do a bit research and see where it takes me.

There is so much that appears to be able to be reproduced Mark. It may not be suit the original brigade but it would suffice most people I think.

Total agree Rob about the continuing nonsense on the TVRCC site, the OZ and push in centres should be straight forward so those other rare parts like the famous centre console ashtrays (not Metro!) and the black circular plastic surrounds for the round headlights etc yes
Chris, I take it you are on about this.

Could be a first project.

Made to order Steve, you can choose which way the legs go....You will need to supply me with your preferred egg size as this can differ, and Yarkshire lads like a good brekkie.

Howay Wynn, give us an update, how's it going with the printing? If this does work it could open up a great opportunity to reproduce a range of parts.

Looks like an industrial printer. Looks pretty strong stuff. After all things that we would look to print would just hang there in theory.
