Le mans 1971 film
Discussion
Hey Chaps!
Dunno if some of you work from home and can take a couple of hours out - or just happen to have a day off, but the Steve McQueen 1971 film Le Mans is on Ch 5 at 10:00 hours today - just noticed. Mo TVRs though I think - but plenty of Porsche 917s and Ferrari 512s.

To buy the DVD I'll have to go out and get a DVD player too!
This house still runs on steam - video needs connecting up so I couldn't tape it - and I think that runs on clockwork!
Steve McQueen, like Paul Newman, was a class racing driver in his own right. I think he actually did come second at Le Mans (just like the film) on one occassion.
I agree with one or two of your heroes Ted - but don't forget Keith Moon used to park his cars (he didn't have a licence!) in the swimmming pool.
Golden Syrup biscuits eh?! Not fig rolls?
